It’s a new year, and we’re getting ready for an important 2026 legislative session starting in February — we’d love for you to be part of it. We’ve put together our priorities, and there are lots of meaningful ways for members to get involved. Whether you want to take action, meet other Sierra Club members, or help push for strong climate and environmental policies at the Capitol, our Legislative Committee is the place to plug in. Check out our 2026 priorities, see what speaks to you, and join us as we work for a cleaner, healthier Connecticut.

Upcoming Events:

We are starting to take action before the session starts by participating in the Make Polluters Pay Week of Action  the week of January 26 - 30.

Join Sierra Club Connecticut, Sunrise New Haven, and other environmental groups for the Rally to Make Polluters Pay at the Capitol to demand accountability, climate justice, and an affordable future where people, not polluters and oligarchs, call the shots.

Wednesday, January 28, 2026
12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
North Side of the Connecticut State Capitol (Bushnell Park side)
210 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106

Powerful speakers. Community voices. A united message to lawmakers: Stop protecting polluters. Stop letting oligarchs profit off our pain. Make polluters pay. Register Here.

Take Action:

As the 2026 Connecticut legislative session approaches, now is the time to let your lawmakers know what’s important to you. Join us in calling on lawmakers to pass a Climate Superfund bill in 2026. Read my op-ed titled “Want lower costs in Connecticut? Hold big polluters accountable”, and send a message to your lawmakers to pass a Climate Superfund bill
